What is CHSP?
CHSP is a government-subsidised program for older people who need a small amount of assistance to continue living independently at home. It offers Domestic Assistance, Personal Care, and Respite Services.
Carrington Care delivers approved CHSP services in the Camden, Campbelltown, and Wollondilly Local government areas.
Our CHSP Services
We provide a range of CHSP services tailored to your needs, with a focus on safety, comfort, and day-to-day support.
Domestic assistance
You may need some help with Light General House cleaning, Laundry or Shopping assistance. It does not provide professional cleaning services, pest control or pet care.
Personal care
Assistance with daily self-care activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility within the home, and support with self-administered medications where appropriate.
Allied Health & therapy
Access to Allied Health and Wellbeing services such as physiotherapy, and exercise physiology. These services may be provided at low intensity or short-term to help restore function after illness or injury and to support independence.
Flexible respite care
Everybody deserves a break. We offer short-term respite support to give carers a break while still ensuring you’re cared for.
Who is eligible for CHSP?
CHSP may be suitable if you:
Are aged 65 years or older (or 50+ for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people)
Need some help at home but do not require high-level care
Want to stay independent in your own home
Are looking for short-term or low-level ongoing support
How to access CHSP services
A basic assessment will determine your eligibility and approved services.
Once approved, you can select Carrington Community Care as your service provider.
Fees & Contributions
CHSP services are government-subsidised, with a small client contribution required depending on the service received.

Indicative contributions include:
- Domestic Assistance: from $20 per service
- Personal care: from $18 per hour
- Allied Health: from $20 per service
- Flexible Respite: from $18 per hour
