Activities at
Carrington
Carrington is Social
As part of the Carrington Community Care services we regularly organise different types of events to entertain and engage our clients.
Our staff also enjoy participating in our social activities and we’ve found that they are also a great way to get involved with people from the wider community and help to prevent clients developing feelings of isolation and depression.
Woodwork
“The Woodies” offers our gentlemen friendship and an opportunity to participate in woodworking activities. The Club meets regularly and is a great way to socialise with others. Some level of proficiency is expected, but other experienced residents give support and training in the use of machines provided. The group sells their woodwork at fair days and special events.
Day Trips
A variety of day trips and outings are organised by our Independent Living Social Club.
Events are offered regularly and range from theatre outings, local shows, restaurants and sight-seeing bus trips to special destinations such as botanical gardens and Kiama Blow Hole.
