Please see below for an update on COVID-19 as at 10/02/2021:

  • A maximum of two (2) visitors per resident will be able to enter our facilities for a limited time of one hour.
  • All visitors must record their entry into the facility with their name, address, contact number and the name of the resident they are visiting for contact tracing purposes. You may be asked to show identification that clearly shows your residential address.
  • All visitors must comply with our COVID safe protocols including hand hygiene, the wearing of face masks and ensuring you do not move around the facility.
  • Visits with residents will take place either in the resident’s room, or in designated visiting areas within the aged care facility.

Please note that visitors will be excluded from our facilities if:

  • They live in a household with a person who is currently self isolating.
  • They have a fever of 37.5 degrees Celsius or higher, or display other symptoms of COVID-19.
  • They have been to any of the latest COVID-19 locations in NSW at the relevant times/dates listed by NSW Health.
  • Have been to any of the locations on the close contact or casual contact list at the times and dates listed (please note this includes locations in the Wollongong area).
  • Have been to any Victorian venues of concern since 29 January 2021.
  • Have been to any WA locations visited by confirmed cases since 25 January 2021.
  • Have been to any contact tracing locations of interest in New Zealand.

Carrington encourages all visitors to check NSW Health’s website for further locations prior to visiting one of our aged care facilities.

We would also like to remind all family and visitors that visits to our residents must continue to be by appointment only to avoid unnecessary overcrowding in the facilities.
