Carrington Community Connect: June 2026

Over the last six months, Carrington has experienced substantial change. I want to thank you for the trust and support you continue to share with us. It’s your commitment to the community that allows us to grow, adapt, and move forward together with confidence.

I'm incredibly proud of the progress we are making. Every step we take is focused on enhancing the lives and connections that make Carrington feel like home.

I have some updates to share with you, including exciting new developments across our Estate, innovative approaches to caring in Residential Care, and improvements in our quality and governance.

Building for the future of care at Carrington

Demand for aged care accommodation across our region is growing. Over the next 10 years, the population of people aged 80 and over is set to double in the Camden area.

Carrington has a responsibility to support this growth and ease the pressure across the wider community. This is why we are working on two new developments in the Carrington Estate: Woodland Assisted Living and the redevelopment of Selfcare South.

These new developments are designed to respond to the evolving needs of our community and help to bridge the gap that's developing in aged care, while supporting long, fulfilling lives for those we care for.

Woodland Assisted Living

We have made progress on Woodland Assisted Living. We have selected a preferred builder and have now commenced the final stages of design.

As we move closer to construction, we remain committed to the people who call Carrington home. Through ongoing communication with nearby residents, we want to ensure the project's potential impacts are carefully managed so that Woodlands can be a vibrant new addition to the community.

Selfcare South

Carrington South is set for transformation. The five-acre site east of Paling Court is to become the hub of accessibility and connection, with Allied Health, Memory Care, and Assisted Living services operating out of the contemporary environment.

We've received positive feedback from the broader community, reflecting a shared vision of what this development can offer. Selfcare South promises to be the benchmark for the integrated, holistic care we provide.

New quality improvement program - Moving on Audits

We are committed to continuous improvement. In line with this commitment, we have started using a new quality improvement program called Moving on Audits, or MOA. This program will help us measure ongoing change across all of our services to ensure we are implementing the best possible processes.

MOA will give us more opportunities to measure our services against those of other organisations, so we can see where we stand out and where we can learn from others in the industry.

This new program will help us maintain the integrity of our work, so we can provide the best care to you and your loved one.

Your support

As we continue to advance new developments and enhance the quality of our care, I am reminded that you are the reason we grow. We are committed to anticipating those needs so that you can have the support you need when you need it.

Your trust in the care we provide and the understanding of what we are trying to achieve is appreciated.

Thank you for your continued support.

Best regards
