What Is Support at Home?

Support at Home provides practical, personal, and wellbeing support to help you manage everyday life while maintaining your independence at home.

We are committed to supporting the life you want to live. Our care is flexible, respectful, and designed to suit you.

Support can be delivered on a short-term or ongoing basis and can include help around the home, personal care, wellbeing services, and social support, all coordinated by a team that understands you.

Getting started is simple

01 Register with My Aged Care

You can register in a few simple ways:

  • Online: Visit the My Aged Care website and fill out the online form.
  • By phone: Call 1800 200 422 to speak with a My Aged Care representative.
  • In person: Visit a Services Australia centre to meet with an Aged Care Specialist Officer.

A local assessor will contact you to organise a face-to-face visit, usually at your home.



This is a great chance to discuss your needs, goals, and the assistance that could make your life easier. You’re welcome to have a family member or friend come with you for support during the visit.

Once your eligibility is approved, you’ll receive a Notice of Decision and a support plan outlining your approved level of care funding. From there, you will have 56 days to contact our team and arrange a service agreement to begin your support.

Pricing schedule

You will be asked to contribute to the cost of your care. The amount you pay will depend on your pension status, health card status, the services you receive, and means testing.

Whatever the amount you pay, Support at Home can give you thousands extra for the care you need.

The amount you pay is a percentage of each service's total price; the government pays the remainder as a subsidy to Carrington. 

Services Australia conducts an income and asset assessment, similar to the Age Pension means test, to determine your contribution rate.
