Carrington ANZAC Day Ceremony 2018

26.04.2018 Admin News No Comments

We were proud to once again hold our annual ANZAC day service with the Camden RSL Sub Branch this week, to honour those who have served in conflicts both past and present, and to remember those who never made it home. The service featured speakers from both the Carrington and the wider local community.

The service was attended by MP for Camden Chris Patterson, Deputy Mayor Theresa Fedeli, and other members from the community. The MC for this year’s service was Camden RSL Sub Branch President Iain Richard-Evan.

Those at the service sung hymns, and also the National Anthems of Australia and New Zealand, in respect for our Kiwi neighbours.

We honour and respect our many Carrington residents who risked their lives in service of our country. Thank you for your service. We would also like to thank the members of the Camden community who have served our country with such distinction.

‘They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old. Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them. Lest We Forget.’
