ANZAC Day forms such an important part of the fabric of Australian culture, and it is great to see it commemorated each year in April. It was great to see some of our Werombi Court and Mary Mackillop residents recently observe the occasion with the children from the Early Learning Hub Daycare at Spring Farm.
The residents received a very warm welcome from the children, and Graham East, a war veteran from Mary Mackillop gave a heartfelt speech about his experiences in combat. It was a beautiful and respectful service, and the residents then joined the children for morning tea.
Thank you to the Early Learning Hub Daycare at Spring Farm for having us, and we are looking forward to continuing this new relationship with ongoing trips to the daycare.
Mary Mackillop Celebrations
Our Mary Mackillop staff and residents observed the occasion with a special presentation to their residents who had served in combat. The residents were presented with certificates thanking them for their service before they attended Carrington’s annual ANZAC Day ceremony on the 24th April.
