Staff from Grasmere Terrace dressed to impress for Halloween this year, with devils, witches, pumpkins, bats and even Little Red Riding Hood joining the residents at their activities throughout the day.
Hearing the reactions and laughter from the residents as they tried to figure out who was under each costume was a particular highlight.
Halloween themed activities were provided for residents in the afternoon. Some of these included pin the stalk on the pumpkin, and ping pong throwing to win prizes.
The day was rounded out with some drinks and snacks, while staff read out some funny Halloween jokes as entertainment.
Every Tuesday morning, the residents of Werombi Court participate in the newly designed Circuit Class. This aims to provide individualised exercise programs based on each residents needs. This person-centred approach ensures that goals are achieved through a fun and encouraging environment.
Pictured here are some of our residents working very hard. The morning typically starts off with some warm up group exercises. Each resident is then assigned a ‘workout station’ and rotate every 5 minutes. Some of these stations include the exercise bike, ‘pull downs’, arm cycling and balance challenges.
With a great session of strengthening and working hard, the residents enjoy some cool down exercises. Afterwards they are treated to a well deserved cup of juice and morning tea.
