Carrington celebrated the success of a number of staff that have achieved national qualification recently.
Certificate IV Aged Care:
Ten students completed a fully-funded qualification in Certificate IV in Aged Care Work. Wortrain, a registered training organisation provided in-house training for 16 workshops and associated assessment tasks and finishing with the successful completion of all participants.
Certificate IV Leisure and Lifestyle:
Carrington also sourced full-funding for a further ten students to achieve the part-Certificate IV in Leisure and Health. Wortrain provided in-house training for seven workshops and associated assessment tasks.
Diploma of Business:
This program was funded by Carrington, the participants were recommended to participate via their Manager and then invited to attend. We partnered with Apex Training Solutions, the trainer was Julie Richardson. The program was conducted on-site at Carrington. At the completion of the course the students conducted project presentations to an audience including the Chief Executive and management team. Carrington is very proud of your achievements. Congratulations to these outstanding students, you have represented Carrington in a public course in a truly professional manner. Customer Service Week is an international event devoted to recognising the importance of customer service and to honouring the people who serve and support customers each day.
Celebrated annually during the first full week in October, Customer Service Week has grown into an international event, which is celebrated in over 40 countries worldwide. Organisations who participate in customer service week are proclaiming to their customers and their community that what unites them is their deep commitment to quality customer care.
Customer Service Week 2016 has provided Carrington with a unique opportunity to launch our new vision, mission and care values that have been developed and shaped by our constant concern and commitment to our people, residents, guests and the community.

This year’s Customer Service Week theme is all about Service Champions. The theme recognises that delivering excellent service is only possible with a team of committed professionals working together. To be a Service Champion each staff member must: lead by example, achieve success and exceed expectations.
During Customer Service Week 2016, Carrington will recognise a number of its people and award them as “Service Ambassadors”. These people have consistently displayed our CARE values while providing care and services to our residents and clients.
